High-Performance Point of Sale System
The Challenge
Traditional cloud-based POS systems fail during internet outages, bringing retail operations to a halt. Conversely, legacy desktop systems are slow, difficult to update, and lack modern cloud syncing capabilities.
The Solution
Using Tauri and Rust, we built a desktop client that processes transactions in sub-milliseconds against a local SQLite database. A robust Laravel backend handles background synchronization, ensuring data integrity across multiple store locations even with intermittent connectivity.
